The Haven Hill Festival is a celebration of the wonderful natural and historic resources of the Highland State Recreation Area and the historic Haven Hill estate. This year’s event will include

The Haven Hill Festival is to be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 between 10 am and 3 pm. Hours will be adjusted if needed due to weather or at other discretion. The event takes place within the Highland State Recreation Area, at the Goose Meadow Picnic site. Auxiliary functions will be held throughout the park. The park can be entered on 5200 Highland Road, M-59 between Duck Lake and Bogey Lake roads. The park is divided across both Highland and White Lake Townships.
The Haven Hill Festival is provided to the public as a no cost enjoyable day in the park for all who attend (entry into the state park is now via the Recreation Passport on your license plate). The event promotes awareness of the wonderful natural and historic resources that make up Highland State Recreation Area. Food and beverage sales serve as a fundraiser for the Friends of Highland Recreation Area. These funds will be directed towards the general operations of FOHRA and our continuing effort to revitalize the historic Edsel Ford Haven Hill estate structures within the Highland State Recreation Area. Day passes are available for a nominal charge at the front gate if you do not have a Recreation Passport. Parking is available at the Goose Meadow Picnic area and the surrounding entrance roads. Please park out of the roadway.
The Haven Hill Festival is in its’ 5th year at Highland State Recreation Area. The Festival has grown yearly, and will continue to positively benefit the surrounding communities now and into the future.
